Ask yourself exactly what you want. “Escape” and “change” are not goals. What do you want for yourself and your business after the pressures have been relieved? Break your goals into very small steps which you can actually do something about. Try to make these steps as independent of other people as you possibly can. Try to do something everyday, to take one or more small steps.
Be a good observer and watch for unexpected opportunities. Stay alert so you do not fall back into your old mindset and comfortable day to day business operations. You will see change when you commit to believing you are changing your attitude and way of thinking. See yourself running your business and achieving your goals with ease. Only you have the key to unlock the door – it is there for you to go into whenever you wish it.
Practice the following visualization exercise:
You seat yourself in a comfortable chair before a blank white screen. Feel yourself deeper and deeper relaxed as you sit quietly looking at the screen, continuing slow, deep regular breaths. You have never felt so peaceful. Your mind has never felt so clear. Your concentration has never been so powerful. Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose, feel the air filling your body, exhale slowly and deeply. You are at peace.
Reject the attitude that “you can’t stand it any longer”. You can handle every circumstance if you see some hope of resolution and change.
